Are you a gym lover?

If yes, then you might be familiar with the nasty smell of the workout clothes. The high-tech fabric of fitness apparel makes it difficult to get perfectly clean in the laundry. Most of them are designed to repel water with a motive of sweat-proof. However, that becomes a problem when it comes to cleaning those gym wear.

 

Gym wear is for a special purpose and so is it’s cleaning, which requires special treatment for the thorough washing. Let’s find a useful way to clean those stinky workout shirts for men and women.

Dry them in the air-

Avoid throwing damp workout clothes into the laundry bag for a long duration. It is suggested to dry air them before throwing them to the laundry bag. By doing so, bacteria will remain far from the clothes, thus lesser will be the smell.

Use vinegar-

The citric acid in vinegar is very helpful in removing the stinky smell out of the athletic wear. Just soak the clothes in the mixture of water and vinegar for an hour and then wash them properly. 

Make less use of washing powder-

Fitness apparel is not meant to be washed by the detergent because it can clog up the fibers and might become less repellant to water. Therefore, it is advisable to use baking soda or any detergent without fragrance while washing gym clothes.

Avoid fabric softener-

The harsh chemicals of softener may play havoc with the fabric of Gym clothes. Thus, it is better to avoid that or can use white vinegar along with the fabric softener.

Freeze them-

If you are seriously worried about the stinky clothes, then freeze them in your refrigerator a few weeks before the laundry. Freezing them is a good way to kill bacteria.

Clean your gym bag-

Cleaning the athletic wear is not just enough, Gym bag is also necessary to be cleaned as we put our gym wear in the same bag. 

 

Lastly, all these methods must be given a try to clean and make pants & gym t-shirts for men & women neat and clean.
